LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY

Bluegrass United Boys' Soccer

Spring Training Sessions 2021

BU Boys' Soccer will once again be offering spring training sessions. Our spring sessions will be open to any home school boys, currently in 6th-11th grade, who want to improve their soccer skills and learn more about the Bluegrass United Boys' Soccer Team.

Players of all skill levels are welcome! We plan for the spring training to be a time to improve fitness levels, up your soccer IQ, and hone your ball handling skills. In addition, for those unfamiliar with our program, it will be a time to get to know more about our BU Boys' Soccer. Our spring open sessions will be run by our head coach, Kevin Newell.

It is important to note that participating in our spring training sessions does not obligate you to try-out for the fall team nor does it guarantee you a spot on the fall roster. Participation in our spring training sessions is not a requirement to be on the fall team. Try-outs for the fall 2021 BU Boys' Soccer Team will take place in late May.

During the spring, we ask that you attend as many sessions as possible, but we understand that you may not be able to make it to every session. We do not require the same level of commitment to participate in our training sessions as we do of our fall high school team.

The price for participating in the spring training sessions is $50 per player. No games will be played during the spring. However, we may have a couple scrimmages.

BU Soccer reserves the right to limit the number of participants so that all boys will have a safe and quality experience.

Training sessions will take place twice a week (on Tuesdays and Saturdays) from Saturday, March 27th through Saturday, May 22nd.

All of our training sessions will take place at Shilito Park in Lexington. Shilito Park is located at 300 W. Reynolds Road in Lexington.

We will meet every Tuesday from 6:00pm-8:00pm and every Saturday from 10:00am-noon except for the Saturday of Easter weekend (April 3rd).

Complete the on-line registration by clicking on the blue registration button below.

Once you have registered online, you will receive an email with more information and payment instructions (usually within 4 days of submitting your online form). Your $50 registration payment must be paid in full no later than Saturday, March 27th at our first session.

THANK YOU ALL for cooperating with these procedures. Doing so helps make it possible for us to offer open sessions this year. As in any group, personal opinions will vary widely on what is needed. For this reason, we have chosen to be clear in our guidelines and committed to being sure they are the standard that is followed. We leave it to each family to choose if your family is comfortable participating in our program within those guidelines. All those who choose to participate in our spring open sessions are voluntarily agreeing that they understand and will follow the above guidelines.
